Rick Vaughn Named SVPP, iHeart Salt Lake City
• iHeartMedia has tapped Rick Vaughn as Senior Vice President of Programming for the company’s six-station Salt Lake City group, effective immediately. The cluster had been overseen on an interim basis for the past year by Portland SVPP Michael La Crosse (who remains acting SVPP for Sacramento).
Vaughn looks both ways, and crosses the street from Cumulus SLC, where he had spent most of the past decade as Operations Manager and PD of Mainstream Rock KBER and Top 40 simulcast KENZ & KHTB (Power 94.9 & 101.9) until June.
The new gig marks a welcome return to the iHeartMedia family for Vaughn, who has spent the majority of his radio career with iHeart/Clear Channel, most notably programming WWPW (Power 96.1) & WRDA (Radio 105.7)/Atlanta, WKSC (103.5 Kiss FM)/Chicago, WIOQ (Q102)/Philadelphia and WKSS (Kiss 95.7)/Hartford. Back in the day he was APD of KHTS (Channel 933)/San Diego.
