Amarillo, Listen Up! Rattler On The Loose!

• The city of Amarillo, TX woke up to a lovely surprise on Monday — a shiny new Classic Rock station — the powers-that-be at Connoisseur Media Amarillo flipped KVWE from Sports-Talk to Classic Rock 102.9 The Rattler. We are told that The Rattler “will deliver an electrifying mix of the greatest Classic Rock artists of all time, alongside the next wave of iconic bands.” We’re talking Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Guns N’ Roses, alongside legendary Texas artists like ZZ Top, Stevie Ray Vaughan, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, etc.

The station will be programmed by legendary Amarillo Rock radio personality Eric Slayter, and also feature on-air talent Mighty Iris and Dirty Dave.
