Virgin To Drive Chicago Home On The Drive

• Hubbard Classic Rock WDRV (97.1 The Drive)/Chicago announced the addition of market veteran Tim Virgin to do afternoon drive.

Virgin has been a defining voice on Chicago’s airwaves for decades, most recently in afternoon drive at Cumulus Classic Hits 94.7 WLS-FM. Known for his unmistakable voice, sharp wit, and deep love of rock, Virgin has helped shape the city’s soundtrack and connect with generations of listeners.

“Tim is a multi-talented personality who will bring tremendous value to Driver Nation, our advertisers, and the community,” said Keith Hastings, Brand & Content Director of 97.1 The Drive. Virgin, who signed on to do afternoons at sister KSHE 95/St. Louis in March, will now drive both cities home every weekday.

Virgin’s extensive Windy City radio resume also includes earlier stints at the late, legendary WLUP (97.9 The Loop), and WKQX (Q101) about 15 years ago. His other major market stops include former CBS Radio Top 40 KEGY (Energy 103.7)/San Diego, WNEW and the late WXRK (92.3 K-Rock)/New York, WHFS/Washington, KEDJ/Phoenix, and KPNT (105.7 The Point)/St. Louis.
