Big Loud Rock’s 33.3% Louder

• Big Loud Rock (BLR), the Alt/Rock imprint of Big Loud Records, has expanded its Promotion department under the leadership of SVP of Promotion Dave Barbis — Please welcome Brien Terranova and Dave Derkowski as Sr. Directors, Radio Promotion. Earlier this year, Nick Marquez joined BLR as Director, National Radio Promotion. Terranova (left) is based in Los Angeles, Derkowski (center) is based in Chicago, and Marquez (right) holds down Big Loud Rock’s presence in New York.

Terranova comes from Beggars Group, where he served as Sr. Director of Promotion for the past 11 years. He previously spent nearly two decades at Capitol Records as Director of Promotion.

Derkowski brings over three decades of experience to his position from Warner Records, where he played a pivotal role in breaking artists such as Green Day, Disturbed, Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance, The Black Keys, and Deftones, to name a few.

Marquez joined Big Loud Rock in April of this year after a six-year run at 300 Elektra Entertainment, where he served as Northeast Regional Promotion Manager. Marquez earlier worked at Warner Records and Riviera Broadcasting (now Desert Valley Media Group) in Phoenix.

“As Big Loud Rock’s roster continues to grow, our promotion strategy and presence need to follow suit,” said Big Loud Partner/President Joey Moi. “Brien, Dave, and Nick bring an outstanding depth of radio relationships and unique experience to the Promo team, and I’m thrilled to continue building a national team that expands our footprint and ensures our artists take over the airwaves across the country.”

All three gents are now on the job and awaiting your congratulatory emails — reach Brien at bt@bigloud.com; Dave at derk@bigloud.com, and Nick at nick@bigloud.com.
