HOT 97 Teams Kazeem With Mero
• While there’s been no formal announcement as yet, Kazeem Famuyide has reportedly been named as the new co-host of Mornings With Mero alongside The Kid Mero on MediaCo’s WQHT (HOT 97)/New York, starting Tuesday.
Famuyide (left, with Mero), described in his LinkedIn profile as “Emmy Award-winning TV Host. Event Producer. Content Producer,” and one of the co-hosts of Carmelo Anthony‘s 7PM In Brooklyn podcast, rotating with The Kid Mero, Rudy Gay and Monica McNutt, broke his own news early Monday morning via several social media posts, the first of which reads: “I’ll be riding shotgun every morning with the Mayor of the mornings aka Mero Mamdani from 6am-10am on @HOT97. A dream come true and a new era. Wake that ass up, tri-state and but preset #1.”
He followed that with: “I’ve listened to @HOT97 my entire life. I was born here. Raised here. Raised by Hip-Hop. The opportunity to wake up the greatest city in the world on the most legendary station in music is not lost on me. I’ve waited my entire life for this. I’m ready. Let’s get it.”
Solidifying the news, Mero made his own big announcement via Instagram, formally introducing Kazeem as his new on-air partner.
