Live 105 Confirmed As Legendary
• Audacy Alternative KITS (Live 105)/San Francisco has been tapped as the 2026 “Legendary Station of the Year” by the Bay Area Radio Museum and Hall of Fame (BARHOF), which will honor Live 105 with a ceremony at the California Historical Radio Society in Alameda on January 30. The station launched in 1986 and pioneered a modern rock format that built a loyal audience and left an indelible mark on the music and broadcasting industries.
The event will feature a diverse group of Live 105 alumni and current staff. The speaker list includes former Brand Managers Richard Sands and Mark Hamilton; former GM Ed Krampf; former Promotions & Marketing Director Gabby Medecki; and former Music Director Steve Masters. They will be joined by former Live 105 jocks Alex Bennett, Big Rick Stuart, Mike ‘No Name’ Nelson, Spud, Lori Thompson, and Roland West, as well as current VP of Programming John Allers and Live 105 personalities Aaron Axelsen, Dallas Osborn, and Marci Wiser.
