Emily Harlan Upped To MD Of Bay Country
• Connoisseur Media’s Bay Country simulcast (94.5 KBAY/San Jose / 92.1 KKDV/Walnut Creek, CA) has elevated afternoon drive personality Emily Harlan to Music Director.
Harlan joined Bay Country in May 2022, six weeks after the station launched, and has been a key member of the team, playing an integral role in the station’s music scheduling, label relations, promotions, and on-air support. In her new role, Harlan will oversee the station’s music strategy and direction, working closely with programming and on-air talent.
“Emily has a real love for music and radio and a strong understanding of what serves our listeners,” said J Love, Operations Manager. “She’s earned this role, and I’m excited to work closely with her as we continue to grow and strengthen the sound of Bay Country 94.5.”
Harlan, who was named the 2025 Behind the Mic mentee by Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio, Inc. (MIW), also does weekends on Country sister KUPL (98.7 The Bull)/Portland, OR and is the host and director of She’s Country, a weekly, hour-long show that highlights and celebrates women in Country music. And there’s more — Harlan is in her fifth season as the digital and in-arena host for the NHL’s San Jose Sharks.
