RCS Chief Generali Announces Retirement

• RCS Worldwide announced that Philippe Generali, President & CEO, will retire, effective Feb. 28, “to pursue personal passions and new adventures across Europe and the United States.” As the memo states, “Philippe has been a driving force behind RCS’s global success for nearly three decades, shaping the company into a leader in broadcast software and media solutions.”

Generali will remain closely engaged for an additional 12 months as a trusted and senior consultant to Mark Gray, CEO of Katz Media, who has had oversight of RCS for the past several years. Together, they will ensure a smooth transition for the company as a new CEO is identified. “Philippe has been an extraordinary visionary and leader in shaping RCS into the global powerhouse it is today,” said Gray. “We are grateful for his decades of dedication and are excited to build on the strong foundation and talented leadership team that he leaves behind.”

Generali joined RCS in 1996 as Product Manager and quickly rose through the ranks, becoming President in 2000 and later, President & CEO of RCS Worldwide. Under his leadership, RCS expanded its reach and influence, powering thousands of radio, television, and digital platforms worldwide. His strategic vision led to the creation of Media Monitors, the industry’s premier market research company. In 2007, he added Florical Systems, a leading television automation division, and in 2010, he also took the helm of Mediabase, further strengthening RCS’s role in music and audience analytics.

Generali remarked, “It’s been a phenomenal ride — working with incredible people and building something that truly changed the industry. I’m proud of the bold steps we’ve taken together and the lasting impact we’ve made. Every moment has been meaningful, and now I’m eager to discover new places, new ideas, and experiences with the same curiosity and joie de vivre that have guided me throughout this journey.”
