Russell Named PD Of Clarksville’s Beaver

• Saga’s 5 Star Media Group in Clarksville, TN announces Dave Russell as the new Program Director and morning host at Country WVVR (Beaver 100.3), plugging in alongside Monica Reed, starting Monday, March 23. He will succeed Chad Heritage, who resigned in February and relocated to Nashville. Russell will also program Classic Country sibling 100.7 The Outlaw (WCVQ-HD3/W264CK).

Russell has spent most of his career in Central Pennsylvania, most recently doing part-time on Radio Carlisle Country WCAT Red 102.3), Classic Country 97.9 WIOO and Classic Hits 102.9 WHYL/Carlisle-Harrisburg.Before that he served a short stint as afternoon talk host 830 WEEU/Reading PA. Russell also notably programmed AC WARM 103.3/York, PA twice — 2007-2009, and again from 2015-2024. In between he worked for Forever Media in suburban Pittsburgh as PD of Classic Hits simulcast WPKL/WKPL (Pickle 92.1 & 99.3) and Country WOGG (Froggy 94.9). Other programming stops include WCTO and WLEV/Allentown, PAand WEZQ/Bangor, ME.

Operations Manager Ryan Ploeckelman remarked, “Dave is an incredible programming talent and excellent on-air talent. He and Monica are going to have a great show that will have listeners feeling good every weekday morning.”
