WSSR Counting Down To… Something

• Connoisseur’s suburban Chicago Hot AC WSSR (Star 96.7)/Joliet, IL transitioned into stunt mode this morning and is currently featuring a menu of lovely, non-threatening “on-hold/waiting room”-type music as it preps for a Monday relaunch.

The station’s homepage has even been changed to a photo of a generic waiting room (as shown here), the perfect setting for this particular music mix. The page also includes a handy countdown clock indicating “Current Wait Time,” which, if we did our mental math correctly, ends at 6am CT on Monday.

While the station’s jock staff is also currently “on hold,” we fully expect WSSR’s current airstaff — Eddie Volkman (& Friends) in mornings, Jillian Bass in middays, Hannah B in afternoon drive, and Skyview Networks’ XYZ with Erik Zachary at night — to remain in place. Stay tuned!
