Martindale Ready For What’s Next
• Yet another veteran major market air personality has made the decision to retire — longtime Los Angeles radio personality Christine Martindale announced she is hanging up her headphones and stepping down after nearly a decade in afternoon drive at Mount Wilson FM Broadcasters’ KKGO (Go Country 105)/Los Angeles.
Martindale’s news was posted to Go Country’s Facebook page: “Just in case you haven’t heard… I’m retiring! It feels a little surreal and incredibly sweet. After so many wonderful years behind the mic, I’m stepping into a new chapter filled with family, adventure and a whole lot of gratitude. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. Your kindness, your support, and your friendship have meant more to me than I can ever put into words. I’ll carry these memories with me always. I’m going to miss you. Here’s to living your dreams and more. God bless you, #Christine105.”
This had been Martindale’s second tour of duty at Go Country — she originally did middays there from Feb. 2013 until leaving in March 2016 — only to return in August that same year, this time in afternoons. Martindale previously spent 12 years across the street at Clear Channel AC KOST 103.5.
