Woody To Receive Kraddick Award

Talentmasters’ 38th Annual Morning Show Boot Camp (MSBC) is pleased to announce this year’s recipient of the prestigious Kidd Kraddick Award is Woody, host of the popular Premiere-syndicated The Woody Show, based at iHeartMedia’s KYSR (ALT 98.7)/Los Angeles.

Named in honor of the late, great Kidd Kraddick, this annual award recognizes those of unparalleled success, inimitable style, authenticity, exemplary service to their community, and a consistent ability to inspire other shows and personalities.

Traditionally, each year’s recipient is charged with selecting the following year’s honoree. Last year’s recipients, Johnjay Van Es and Rich Berra from Premiere’s The Johnjay & Rich Show shared their comments regarding the selection of Woody: “Woody has a rare ability to connect, uplift, and make people feel seen — all while making us laugh,” said Johnjay. “He represents everything the Kidd Kraddick Award stands for, and no one is more deserving.”

Rich remarked, “We’ve watched Woody and his crew quietly — and with style — build a rock empire over the last few years, one that has grown with class and forged a relationship with his uber-loyal audience that’s both admirable and ridiculously entertaining to listen to. That, in itself, is the way Kidd used to do it too. We think he’d be proud to see Woody as the next recipient of the Kidd Kraddick Award.”

“This industry has given me so much over the years, and radio will always be my first love,” said Woody. “While I never had the chance to meet Kidd Kraddick, I fully understand the impact he had and the legacy he left behind. Being recognized by colleagues with an award that carries his name is a tremendous honor, and I’m grateful for every opportunity to give back to the industry that has meant so much to me.”

The Kraddick Award will be presented to Woody during Talentmasters’ 38th Annual Morning Show Boot Camp (MSBC), taking place August 5-7 at the Hilton Cleveland Downtown. Register HERE.
