Mahoney & Dave & Mahoney. Again.

• Reunited, and it feels so good… RAMP has learned that Ross Mahoney (a.k.a. “Bossy Rossy“) is once again working with his old pals Dave & Mahoney, as he has joined the Compass Media Networks-syndicated Dave & Mahoney Show, based at Hubbard Classic Rock KSLX/Phoenix and heard in 60+ markets. We understand that Mahoney is now sporting the nebulous title “Regional Vice President of Executive Production and Programming,” or something along those lines.

Third time’s apparently the charm, as Mahoney was the former boss of Dave Farra & Jason Mahoney (no relation) when he programmed the show’s former flagship, KXTE/Las Vegas from May 2016 until he was downsized in September 2020. In July 2022 Mahoney was called back to Audacy, this time as RVP for Alternative, once again overseeing KXTE, as well as KRBZ/Kansas City, WSFS/Miami, KBZT/San Diego, WQMP/Orlando and WRXL/Richmond. He left the company again in July 2024.

Mahoney earlier programmed WRMR (Modern Rock 98.7)/Wilmington, NC, and he spent the first 15 years of his career at WPBZ/West Palm Beach, FL, working his way up from intern to APD/MD/afternoons.
