MIW’s 2026 Women in Programming Mentorship


Designed specifically for women working in radio programming, the year-long mentorship connects one rising programming professional with some of the industry’s most accomplished content leaders. Through personalized mentorship, strategic networking opportunities, and career-focused guidance, the program is designed to help participants strengthen their leadership skills and accelerate their professional growth. The selected mentee will also attend the 2027 NAB Show in Las Vegas.
“Strong programming leaders are essential to the future of radio, and this mentorship is designed to help talented women gain the confidence, connections, and support needed to take the next step in their careers,” said MIW President Sheila Kirby. “Over the past eight years, we’ve had the privilege of working with exceptional women who have gone on to make a significant impact in our industry. We look forward to continuing that tradition and helping develop the next generation of programming leadership.”
The mentorship is open to one female Brand Manager, Content/Program Director, Assistant Program Director, or Music Director from any U.S.-based radio format. Applications are open now and will be accepted through July 2, 2026. Interested candidates can apply HERE.
Since its inception, the Elevating Women in Programming Mentorship has supported and empowered women across the country.
