Rare Fox Sighting In Toledo

• Veteran programmer/air talent Bill Fox has resurfaced in scenic Toledo, OH as the newly named Operations Manager for the Cumulus cluster, Program Director of Country WKKO (K100), and morning co-host on Classic Hits 93.5 WRQN. He will succeed Jerry Mac, who exited in April.

Dana DiModica, VP/Market Manager of Cumulus Toledo/Monroe, said, “We’re beyond excited to have Bill Fox join Cumulus Toledo/Monroe. His passion for building great local radio brands and his unique creative vision make him a perfect fit for our team. Bill will bring fresh energy as Operations Manager for the Toledo cluster, Program Director for WKKO-FM, and as the new voice waking up Toledo and Northwest Ohio on 93.5 WRQN.”

Fox most recently did mornings on Saga Classic Country 96.9 WSIG/Harrisonburg, VA until last September. He earlier enjoyed a three-year run with Midwest Communications, starting in June 2021 as Brand Manager/afternoon talent at Country WDEZ/Wausau, WI, leading the station to three consecutive top-rated books before transferring to Peoria, IL to program Country sister WXCL (104.9 The Wolf) — leading that station to its highest ratings in 25 years — later adding Brand Manager stripes for AC sister WSWT (Mix 106.9).

Fox’s earlier morning gigs include Press Communications’ Classic Rock WWZY (107.1 The Boss)/Monmouth-Ocean, NJ, Townsquare Country WOKQ/Portsmouth, NH, Pamal AC WYJB (B95.5)/Albany, NY and Binnie Media’s WFNK (107.5 Frank FM)/Portland ME. Fox has also plugged in at KXOA/Sacramento, KWYE (Y101)/Fresno, KLLY/Bakersfield and WBHT/Wilkes-Barre, PA.

“I’m beyond excited to join Cumulus Toledo/Monroe,” Fox exclaimed. “This is a veteran air staff that knows how to do live, local radio, and I’m thrilled to get to work alongside them. And I can’t wait for that 4am alarm and the chance to wake up The Glass City!”
