You Ready To Rock Seattle?

Hubbard Radio’s KVRQ (The New Rock 98.9)/Seattle is looking for an exceptional lead and team in its quest to construct a brand new wake-up show. As PD Dave Numme explains, “We are building our staff and the final and most important component is our first morning show.”

Key Attributes required: 1) Do you have a sense humor and the ability to make others smile and laugh? 2) Intelligence — do you have a grasp of facts and the ability to articulate a position backed up with logic and linear thinking? 3) Are you inquisitive and constantly curious about people and the world around us? 4) Variety of knowledge — can you speak to a wide range of topics? 5) Are you able to be authentic?

You should also have a solid work ethic to build a great show. Through ongoing coaching, you should be open to criticism and suggestions. Understand and embrace the relationship between succeeding personally while lifting up the entire organization; be adept at curating and delivering compelling and relevant content to the target audience with efficiency, passion and pace; be entertaining, topical and funny while building a relationship with the audience over time. Your content should be able to transcend the music and draw a broad audience and you should have the ability to bring it all on-air and to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, blogging and podcasting.

Numme added, “Come be a part of building something great for yourself and Hubbard in Seattle!” You heard the nice man… qualified candidates are urged to apply for this EOE position by sending their best stuff to numme@989rocks.com.
