Kelly Ford Named MD/PM At WMZQ & WPOC

• Award-winning major market Country radio pro Kelly Ford has joined iHeartMedia as Music Director and afternoon drive personality for DMV Country duo 98.7 WMZQ/Washington, DC and 93.1 WPOC/Baltimore.

Ford transitions from Connoisseur Media’s New York Country outlet, WWWF (103.1 The Wolf)/Long Island, where she had held a similar role for the past two years. She has also hosted nationally syndicated shows for Beasley/Key Networks and Westwood One.

Ford famously spent 20+ years as morning co-host with KYGO/Denver until early 2013, when she was hired by Cumulus as the inaugural midday personality at the launch of company’s NASH FM flagship, WNSH (NASH FM 94.7)/New York. She later moved to Nashville as co-host of America’s Morning Show with Blair Garner and Chuck Wicks, which later became Ty, Kelly, & Chuck when Garner was replaced by Ty Bentli.

Over the course of her career, Ford has been honored by the CMA and the ACM, earned three Gracie Awards from the Alliance of Women in Media, and an NAB Marconi Award.
