McGinty Inked For Afternoons At 107.3 ALT CLE

• Rubber City Radio Group (RCRG) Cleveland has wisely taken full advantage of the lengthy market equity possessed by the newly available Tony McGinty, who was recently downsized by iHeartMedia and has now been snapped up for afternoon drive on WNWV (107.3 Alternative Cleveland).

In a staff memo announcing McGinty’s acquisition, PD/morning co-host Brady Marks said, “With over 20 years in radio, he most recently worked at iHeart co-hosting mornings on WKDD/Akron and overnights on WMMS/Cleveland, as well as programming WRQK/Canton. He actually has worked at RCRG before as a producer for our sister station WAKR back in 2012.”

Marks’ memo continues, “With the iHeart layoffs, and our former afternoon drive personality, Carrie Danger, leaving 107.3 to pursue other endeavors, the timing worked out perfectly. We were able to bring aboard someone who shares a love of radio and commitment to serving the listeners of Cleveland. We couldn’t be more optimistic about Tony and the future of 107.3 ALT CLE.”
