Yancey Named Brand Manager, 102.1 JAMS/SF

• Audacy Classic Hip Hop KRBQ (102.1 JAMS)/San Francisco has named Andre Yancey as its new Brand Manager. He will continue to serve as Assistant Brand Manager for sister WXBK (94.7 The Block)/New York.

102 JAMS was most recently overseen by Ben “Complex” Romero, who was named Brand Manager of Top 40 KALV (Live 101.5)/Phoenix in June. He continues to program Top 40 KUDL (106.5 The End) and Rhythmic 102.5 KSFM/Sacramento.

“As a Bay Area native, Andre understands what the community wants and needs,” said Skip Dillard, Audacy Urban AC and Throwbacks Format VP. “We look forward to seeing how his creative instincts and acute eye for technology come together to elevate the brand and deepen its connection with listeners.”

Yancey began his radio career in the Bay Area on the KMEL street team, eventually working alongside the station’s legendary Morning Zoo. In Sept. 2021, Yancey joined Audacy as Director of Morning Content Operations for WCBS-FM/New York, producing Scott Shannon in the Morning with Patty Steele. Shortly after, he helped launch 94.7 The Block. Yancey also served a stint at the former 92.3 NOW/New York as a personality and producer for the Rollin’ With Nick Cannon morning show, and was Director of New Media for United Stations.

“Radio has been part of my life since I was a kid growing up in the South Bay — a companion, a soundtrack, a way to feel connected,” said Yancey. “Complex has been an incredible steward of JAMS, and we’re going to continue building on everything he’s put in place. JAMS is a love letter to The Bay and its contribution to culture, and more than ever, companionship and connection are what radio is about. Thank you to Skip Dillard, Chris Oliviero, Dave Richards, Jeff Sottolano, Jim Ryan, and Kieran Geffert.”
