Pros On The Loose: John Crenshaw
• Longtime Ohio radio pro John Crenshaw has exited as Operations Manager of North American Broadcasting’s Columbus group — Active Rock WRKZ (99.7 The Blitz), Classic Country WJKR (103.9 The Maverick), WMNI-AM 920 (Fox Sports 920), and Soft AC Star 94.1 (WJKR-HD2), as Crenshaw colorfully explains, his “number came up in the layoff lottery…. again.”
Crenshaw (pictured here with superstar Ella Langley) had been on the job since Dec. 2021 following a stint as PD of Saga Country WCVL and Classic Rock WWWV/Charlottesville, VA. He’s certainly no stranger to the Columbus market, having notably served as Director of Programming for the Clear Channel cluster from 2005-2012. He was also OM of Community Broadcasters’ Destin-Ft. Walton Beach group, OM of the Cumulus cluster in Youngstown, OH and Regional OM for 10 Cumulus stations in Grand Rapids and Northern Michigan.
