Louisville Public Media Adds Two, Ups One

• Louisville Public Media (LPM) welcomes two new staffers: Krystal Goodner is named as the local host of All Things Considered, weekdays from from 4-6pm on 89.3 WFPL, effective Oct. 19, and Veronica Roessler joins the company as Community Engagement and Events Manager. It was concurrently announced that Katherine Six, who has served as Grants Manager at LPM since 2021, has been promoted to the newly created role of Director of Development Operations. Already a familiar voice across the region, Goodner previously served as a reporter and weekend morning anchor at WDRB and spent a decade at WLOU/Louisville. “Returning to the air as the host of All Things Considered on 89.3 WFPL is both a joy and a privilege,” Goodner said. “Louisville and Southern Indiana are home, and it means so much to continue informing, engaging and connecting with the community that has shaped me. I’m honored to join Louisville Public Media and a team that values trusted journalism, meaningful conversations and the people behind every story.”

Roessler is a seasoned event professional whose resume includes the Kentucky Derby Festival and Olivia Elise Events, and who now joins the marketing team at LPM, leading event production and community engagement. Her work will range from large-scale events like WFPK Waterfront Wednesday to intimate gatherings with donors and community members.

In her new role, Katherine Six will continue to lead LPM’s grants management while also focusing on prospect research for major gifts, metrics tracking, budgeting, and cross-functional planning.

“Our new strategic plan tasks us with becoming Louisville’s essential daily habit, and that starts with people who are rooted in this community,” said Kenya Young, LPM’s President & CEO. “Krystal Goodner is a community-minded journalist who has been part of this region’s daily life for nearly 20 years. Veronica Roessler knows how to bring people together, and she’ll help us show up in every corner of our neighborhoods. We’re thrilled to welcome them both as we continue to make an impact, build deeper relationships and connect with neighbors in our communities.” [Katherine Six photo:  J. Tyler Franklin]
