Mac, J1 Join Radio One Indy

The September promotion of Radio One Indianapolis Operations Manager Karen Vaughn to the OM post at Radio One Philadelphia has created excellent opportunities for two new leaders to emerge in Indianapolis — Kelly Mac is the new PD of Urban AC WTLC and Inspirational WTLC-AM (AM 1310 The Light) and DJ J1 is the newly minted PD of Urban WHHH (Hot 96.3) and Classic Hip Hop Boom 102.9 (W275BD). Mac will also do afternoons on WTLC and J1 will handle middays on Hot 96.3.

Ms. Mac spent the past three years as APD/midday talent on SummitMedia Urban WJMZ (107.3 Jamz)/Greenville, SC. Before that she was APD/MD for WDAS & WUSL (Power 99)/Philadelphia and APD of WGCI and midday talent on WVAZ (V103)/Chicago. J1 is a Radio One original — he earns the transfer from Radio One Atlanta, where he began his career as an intern and Mix Show Coordinator for WHTA (Hot 107.9) and rose to APD/air personality.
