Huber Sittin’ On The Dock…
Times-Shamrock Classic Rock WZBA (100.7 The Bay)/Baltimore takes full strategic advantage of the market equity possessed by Steve Huber and names him to fill the station’s three-month PD vacancy. Huber, who starts Oct. 2, will not incur very many moving expenses in connection with his hew gig — he simply looks both ways and crosses the street after 18 years with Hearst Mainstream Rock WIYY (Rock 98), where he most recently served as APD/MD.
Bay GM Jefferson Ward remarked, “We had a tremendous response to our open PD position and I had the chance to talk to a number of excellent programmers, people that might have easily been hired had Steve not come into our picture. Steve is deeply passionate about radio and has a broad and strong skill set. Those qualities, along with his understanding of radio’s opportunities today and his vision about where radio can go made Steve a perfect fit for 100.7 The Bay.” Huber said, “I’ve loved my time at 98 Rock and worked with some amazing people. I’m looking forward to leading a new team and continuing to build on the success of 100.7 The Bay.”
The Bay PD position has been open since June, when previous PD Craig Chambers announced he was moving back to San Antonio for family reasons.
