Bobby Bones Overscheduled At NAB NYC
• Multimedia personality (and Radio Hall Of Famer) Bobby Bones will host the 2024 NAB Marconi Radio Awards on October 9 during NAB Show New York. He will also be presented with the prestigious NAB Distinguished Service Award (DSA), the National Association of Broadcasters’ highest honor.
“Bobby Bones has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to radio listeners, using his platform not just to entertain, but to uplift others and champion new voices,” said NAB President & CEO Curtis LeGeyt. “His dedication to mentoring emerging talent and his influence on the evolution of modern radio make him a fitting recipient of the NAB Distinguished Service Award. The NAB Distinguished Service Award recognizes individuals who have made a significant impact on the industry. Previous recipients include Ryan Seacrest, Gordon Smith, James Brown, Jim Henson, Alan Alda, Robin Roberts, Bob Schieffer, Michael J. Fox, Mary Tyler Moore, President Ronald Reagan, Edward R. Murrow, Bob Hope, Walter Cronkite and Oprah Winfrey.
• And for the third consecutive year, the NAB Marconi Radio Awards will feature three-time Grammy Award nominee DJ Scratch as the house DJ. DJ Scratch also co-hosts middays with Shelley Wade on Audacy Classic Hip Hop WXBK (94.7 The Block)/New York.
