Broadcaster Of A Lifetime
• Boston radio icon Matt Siegel, who for nearly four decades has anchored Matty In The Morning on iHeartMedia Top 40 WXKS (Kiss 108)/Boston, was recently honored by the Massachusetts Broadcasters Association when he was presented with the organization’s highest honor — the prestigious Broadcaster of the Year award. The ceremony took place at the Sheraton Framingham Hotel in Framingham, Mass.
The Broadcaster of the Year Award pays tribute to a Massachusetts radio or TV broadcaster who has shown an unwavering dedication to the evolution of broadcasting, breathing life into his/her work by being creative, enthusiastic, and committed to the community.
“I’m thrilled to receive this honor,” said Siegel, pictured here at home peering through his major award. “I can’t believe I’ve gotten to wake up the City of Boston for the past 38 years while working alongside some of my closest friends. I am very humbled and appreciative to be recognized with such high honors.”
Dylan Sprague, who doubles as PD of Kiss 108 and VP of President of Programming for iHeartMedia Boston, remarked, “Matt is an exceptional talent. No one is more real or genuine and lays it all out there for the listeners like Matty. All of us at Kiss 108 join the Massachusetts Broadcasters Association in congratulating Matt — a true Boston radio legend.”
