CRS Accepting Tom Rivers Nominations
• Country Radio Seminar (CRS) is now accepting nominations for the 2025 Tom Rivers Humanitarian Award. The scholarship is presented to an individual who works in Country radio and espouses the spirit and virtues of generosity, caring, and community service.
The award is named in memory of Tom Rivers, a 17-year broadcast veteran and former CRB board member who was OM of WUSN (US99.5)/Chicago when he died in 2004 at the age of 38. Rivers’ career also took him to WQYK/Tampa.
Previous recipients of this prestigious award include Tim Leary, Storme Warren, Heather Froglear, Lon Helton, “Dollar” Bill Lawson, Dan Halyburton, Peter Smyth, Jeff Smulyan, Mary Quass, and George G. Beasley.
Nominations are due by December 6 and can be made by filling out this form.
