Entercom Earns 23 Murrow Awards
• Entercom is the winner of 23 Regional Edward R. Murrow Awards, presented by the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) for outstanding achievements in electronic journalism. Nine Entercom markets were honored, including Buffalo, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and St. Louis…. and here they are — WBEN-AM/Buffalo, NY won awards for “Overall Excellence,” “Multimedia” and “Newscast;” WBBM-AM/WCFS-FM/Chicago won awards for “Overall Excellence,” “Breaking News Coverage” & “Newscast;”and KRLD-AM/Dallas was honored for “Overall Excellence” and “Newscast.”
KNX-AM/Los Angeles won for “Overall Excellence,” and 830 WCCO/Minneapolis won for “Excellence in Sound;” WCBS-AM/New York won awards for “Overall Excellence,” and “Excellence in Video,” while clustermate 1010 WINS was honored for “Breaking News Coverage,” “Excellence in Social Media” and “Newscast;” KYW Newsradio/Philadelphia scored three Murrow Awards — “Excellence in Sound,” “Multimedia” and “Sports Reporting;” In San Francisco, KCBS All News won Murrows for “Hard News” and “Newscast,” and in St. Louis, KMOX-AM (News Radio 1120) was honored for “Excellence in Sound,” “Hard News” and “Newscast.”
