Feel My Head… I Have Grammy Fever!
Cumulus Media & Westwood One proudly present a ton of special programming, exclusive brand activations and backstage performances this week in celebration of this Sunday’s 59th Annual Grammy Awards® — The Westwood One Backstage Live at the Grammys® weekend will include live performances from Grammy-winning Columbia Records act Train, Republic recording artist Marian Hill, and Hollywood Records’ own Ocean Park Standoff. All of the action happens at Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles this Thursday, February 9 from noon-4pm PT and Friday, February 10 from noon-6pm PT. These musical performances cap off each of the two days of Westwood One’s Radio Row, which features 25 radio stations from around the country, along with Westwood One’s Zach Sang Show and The Adam Bomb Show.
“The No. 1 priority for Westwood One is to deliver great content to our listeners,” said Suzanne Grimes, EVP of Corporate Marketing of Cumulus Media & President of Westwood One. “Our longstanding partnership with NARAS enables Westwood One to leverage its exclusive access to the Grammys, which brings the excitement to life for our listeners and allows us to create great content that they cannot find anywhere else. Our second priority is to provide our marketing partners unique opportunities to showcase their brands within relevant content and engaged audiences. Westwood One Backstage Live at the Grammys® weekend delivers on both priorities and we are looking forward to the 59th Annual Grammy Awards.”
The action kicked off this past weekend when Westwood One distributed a multi-format, two-hour Grammy Nomination Special. The Top 40/Rhythmic, Hot AC, and AC versions were hosted by Jayde Donovan from Todd & Jayde Mornings on WPLJ/New York, and the Urban/Urban AC version was hosted by La Loca and Marc Clarke from WNBM/New York. The 59th Annual Grammy Awards, hosted by James Corden will live from Staples Center this Sunday, February 12 at 8pm ET/5pm PT on CBS.
