MAB Announces HOF Class Of ’23
The MAB Hall of Fame Class of 2023 is: Suzanne Goucher (pictured), who served as President & CEO of the Maine Association of Broadcasters for over 30 years until her untimely passing in January 2022, and Dale Arnold, nationally known sportscaster who started his career in Maine and currently works for NESN in Boston.
The 2023 recipient of the “Suzanne Goucher Broadcast Achievement Award” (formerly the Broadcaster Of The Year Award) is Jon Shannon, PD/Morning host at Saga Country WPOR/Portland, ME. That honor includes automatic induction into the Hall of Fame.
Hall of Fame Inductees: Cindy Williams, retired former longtime News Anchor at WCSH-TV/Portland, and “Mighty” John Marshall, retired radio pro who worked at worked at many Maine radio stations, most notably at Stephen King’s WZON/Bangor. The 2021 Suzanne Goucher Broadcast Achievement Award recipient is “Altitude” Lou McNally, who worked at large number of radio & TV stations as a meteorologist and still runs a private weather service for New England radio stations.
