More Honors For The Popular Sue Hall

• Congrats to Bay Area radio icon Sue Hall, a 2019 inductee into the Bay Area Radio Hall of Fame, beloved for her three decades of on-air artistry at such legendary San Francisco radio stations as KFRC (20 years across all frequencies: 610, 99.7, 106.9!), KMEL, K101, 17 years — and counting — in weekends at 96.5 KOIT, and currently middays on Amaturo Sonoma Media Group AC 100.1 KZST/Santa Rosa, who last week was named as the 2025 recipient of the prestigious Don Sherwood Award, which annually honors the Bay Area’s most popular radio personality.

The award is named in honor of the late, legendary KSFO/San Francisco morning star Don Sherwood, who famously referred to himself as “The World’s Greatest Disc Jockey.” Balloting was conducted online between April 1 and May 15, with the public being asked to cast their votes for their favorite current on-air personalities.

A grateful Hall tells RAMP, “As a little girl growing up in the Bay, I used to listen to THE Don Sherwood with my dad. This feels so surreal and special. I never dreamed I’d be in his league! The fact that this award was voted on by Bay Area radio listeners and fans makes it even more meaningful!”
