Norm Lewis Inked For Golden Mikes

The Broadcasters Foundation of America is proud to announce this year’s entertainment for the Golden Mike Award Gala will be Broadway, film, and TV star Norm Lewis. The 2022 BFOA Golden Mike Award returns following a one-year hiatus, due to the pandemic, and will take place Monday, March 14, at New York’s swanky Plaza Hotel. The annual event is the biggest fundraiser for the Broadcasters Foundation, whose sole mission is to provide aid to broadcasters in acute need.

Norm Lewis is an Emmy, Tony, and SAG Award nominee and the first African-American actor to perform in the title role in Broadway’s long-running production of Phantom of the Opera. He has also appeared in numerous Broadway productions and in films, television shows, and regional theatre.

As was previously announced, this year’s BFOA Golden Mike Award honoree will be Hilton Howell, Jr., Chairman of the Board & CEO of Gray Television and Atlantic American Corporation. The Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to renowned sportscaster Lesley Visser. The hosts for this year’s BFOA Golden Mike Award dinner and ceremony will be the husband/wife team of NBC’s Al Roker and ABC’s Deborah Roberts. Roberts is also a member of the Broadcasters Foundation Board of Directors.
