Radio Disney Music Awards Tomorrow!
There’s been a huge hum of activity around the Microsoft Theatre in downtown Los Angeles as Radio Disney makes final preparations for tomorrow’s fifth annual 2017 Radio Disney Music Awards (RDMA), music’s biggest event for families. The show will be hosted by Kelsea Ballerini, Sofia Carson, Jordan Fisher, Alex Aiono and Jenna Ortega.
Ballerini and Carson will also perform on the RDMAs, along with Hailee Steinfeld, Noah Cyrus, Julia Michaels, Sabrina Carpenter, Auli’i Cravalho, Fitz and The Tantrums, Erin Bowman, Grace VanderWaal and Train. And there have been some late developments — talented violinist Lindsey Stirling will accompany Julia Michaels on her hit, “Issues,” and it was announced that Hailee, Kelsea and Sofia will pay tribute to pop superstar Britney Spears, performing a medley of Brit’s hits as she’s honored with the first-ever RDMA Icon Award, which recognizes an artist whose career transcends popular culture. Britney’s music began playing on Radio Disney in 1998.
The big show takes place tomorrow afternoon at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
