SBG Reaches Decade Status
• We are sending our best wishes to our friends at Sun Broadcast Group, a Gen Media Partners Company, who are celebrating their 10th Anniversary! The SBG story began in 2008, with five people in a small conference room in Florida. From those humble beginnings, SBG has grown into a full-service syndication and sales organization that is now headquartered in New York City and Boca Raton, FL and is home to The Country Fried Mix with DJ Sinister, multiple nationally syndicated shows hosted by Fitz, The Woody & Wilcox Show and Sun Latino, among many others. This year also saw the addition of The ’90s with Alfonso Ribeiro, The Jim Brickman Show, The Michael Baisden Show and several new services: CarPro, SnoCountry, and AirKast.
Throughout 2018, SBG also announced numerous huge milestones, including its acquisition by Gen Media Partners, a brand-new logo, an expansion of its relationship with several partners like Envision Networks, celebrated four years with Country personality, Fitz, and saw massive increases in their affiliate lineups with more than 250 new stations in both general market and Hispanic.
Jason Bailey, President & Founder of Sun Broadcast Group, commented, “Thank you to the advertisers, agencies, and programmers who continue to support SBG, and more importantly, radio. I’m just as energized today about our future as I was ten years ago. Here’s to another decade of great radio for great people, by the most talented team I know.” Kevin Garrity, CEO of Gen Media Partners, remarked, “Sun Broadcast Group is known for innovation, originality, and creativity in network radio. Jason has assembled an amazing team that will continue to flourish over the next ten years — congratulations on an amazing achievement!” Enjoy the brief “SBG Celebrating 10 Years Video” posted online.
