Shannon To Host Radio HOF Show
• You had to figure it would take a Radio Hall of Famer to host a Hall Of Fame induction ceremony — which is why they called upon Scott Shannon (Class of 2006), legendary morning personality on WCBS-FM/New York to host the 30th Annual National Radio Hall of Fame Induction ceremony and celebration in New York City on Nov. 15.
This year’s sold-out event promises to be the most attended ceremony in the history of the National Radio Hall of Fame, given the caliber of the inductees — Jonathon Brandmeier, Nanci “The Fabulous Sports Babe” Donnellan, Mike Francesa, Mike Golic and Mike Greenberg (Mike & Mike), Joan Hamburg, Fred Jacobs, Kid Kelly, Jim Kerr, Mark Levin and Dr. Laura Schlessinger.
As if that wasn’t enough huge talent for one ballroom, an exemplary group of presenters will also be joining the festivities, including Rush Limbaugh; Bruce Morrow, a.k.a. “Cousin Brucie,” actor Alan Alda, CBS sportscaster Jim Nantz; Detroit radio icon Jim Harper; Jimmy de Castro, SVP/Market Manager, Entercom Chicago; Gabe Hobbs of Gabe Hobbs Media; Greg Moceri of Moceri Media, LLC and Jacobs Media VP/GM Paul Jacobs.
Kraig Kitchin, Chairman of the National Radio Hall of Fame, said, “Scott Shannon is the perfect person to host the 30th anniversary of the National Radio Hall of Fame induction in New York City. And with the support and presence of this years’ presenters, and, of course, our inductees, this is going to be a most memorable evening for all.” The Mix Group is the presenting sponsor of the National Radio Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.
