Texas Radio HOF Names 50 Nominees
• The Texas Radio Hall of Fame (TRHOF) has released the names of the 50 nominees for its 2023 Induction Class. Space doesn’t permit listing everyone here, but you can check out all of the names posted at TRHOF.net, where the voting portal is now open and accessible to voting members through Monday, July 31.
TRHOF Executive Director Doug Harris said, “We’ve been continually working to refine, streamline, and demystify the nomination and voting process, and this rollout represents a major step forward. We are fortunate to have a group of outstanding broadcasters for our voting members to consider and a rejuvenated balloting platform that includes their photos and biographical information for review.”
Over 200 broadcast pros with ties to Texas radio were nominated for consideration by the TRHOF Review Committee, which reached a consensus on the final 50. Voting members of the TRHOF will now determine the final 20 individuals who will be honored in the TRHOF’s Annual Induction Ceremony in November.
Harris added, “We are very pleased with this slate of nominees, which spotlights the depth and breadth of Texas radio talent. From the tower to the board to the conference room, this of list nominees features small town and major market representation, connected to a variety of formats and virtually every position of service in the broadcast world.”
Those selected for the 2023 Induction Class will be honored during the organization’s Annual Induction and Reunion Weekend, November 3 & 4 at the Texas Museum of Broadcasting and Communications in Kilgore, TX. Information on becoming a TRHOF voting member is available on the organization’s website, and interested parties may still join — and vote — for this year’s inductees.
