Westwood One Gets Busy In Vegas
• Westwood One is an official promotional partner of the 2018 Billboard Music Awards, which are happening this weekend in Las Vegas. Westwood One Backstage at the BBMAswill take place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on Saturday, May 19 from noon-4pm PT and feature private backstage performances, a radio row of over 25 stations, interviews with recording artists and celebrities; exclusive live audio and video content; and social media activations.
Ralphie Aversa from WPLJ/New York & WPRO/Providence will host content online and on Cumulus websites. Recording artist Kim Petras will kick off Radio Row festivities on Friday night, followed by a performance by Noah Cyrus and MAX. Loote will perform Saturday morning and Daughtry will perform late Saturday, emceed by Enrique Iglesias.
Westwood One also has five hours of BBMAs Night of Event Coverage on Sunday, May 20 from 7-midnight. Jayde Donovan, host of Westwood One’s Jayde and co-host of WPLJ’s Todd & Jayde in the Morning, will host the red carpet coverage; Adam Bomb and The Bert Show‘s Kristin Klingshirn will host the Hot AC/AC version and the crew from the Zach Sang Show will host the Top 40/Rhythmic version.
The 2018 Billboard Music Awardsroll live from the MGM Grand on Sunday, May 20 at 8pm ET/5pm PT on NBC. The show is hosted by Kelly Clarkson and will feature live performances John Legend, Jennifer Lopez, Ed Sheeran, and other artists; duets from Salt-N-Pepa & En Vogue, Christina Aguilera & Demi Lovato, and Macklemore & Kesha; a performance of “The Middle” with Zedd, Maren Morris and Grey; plus a performance from this year’s Billboard Music Awards Icon recipient, Janet Jackson.
