WTOP’s Kolesar To Be Honored By NAB
• The NAB announced that Dave Kolesar, Sr. Broadcast Engineer for Hubbard Broadcasting’s WTOP/Washington, DC as the recipient of the 2024 NAB Radio Engineering Achievement Award.
Established in 1959, the Radio and Television Engineering Achievement Awards are presented to individuals who are nominated by their peers for significant contributions to advancing broadcast engineering.
During Kolesar’s 17-year run at WTOP he has repeatedly proven to be one of the most creative people in the field. Kolesar has been a pioneer in AM Digital, rebuilt WTOP’s facilities and modernized its systems, and programs one of the most diverse playlists in radio, The Gamut, a music station with a playlist of over 20,000 songs. Prior to joining Hubbard Radio, Kolesar was an Electronics Engineer in the IT Division of the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, DC

Kolesar will be formally honored during the We Are Broadcasters Awards, to be held on Tuesday, April 16 at 9:30am on the Main Stage of the 2024 NAB Show in Las Vegas.
