Please Help Your Fellow Man
• Tragedy has struck far too close to the family of “Digi-Dude Nate” Hanson, personality/producer of the Bailey and Southside morning show on Cumulus Rock WNNX (Rock 100.5)/Atlanta — on Saturday, August 4, his brother-in-law, 24-year-old Eric Manias of New Albany, OH was the victim of a brutal home invasion attack — he was beaten, robbed, shot twice and left for dead. Somehow he found the strength to call 911 and was transported to Grant Medical Hospital via the Life Flight Team in critical condition after suffering gunshot wounds to the abdomen and left arm. He also has a fractured jaw and arm, a broken hip, and numerous cuts and bruises. Eric has thus far undergone four surgeries and is currently recovering in the Critical Care Unit, with his family by his side.
Eric is no stranger to hospital rooms, as he was born with serious heart issues and underwent three open-heart surgeries shortly after his birth. Despite those obstacles, including a bout with hemolytic anemia in high school, Eric would say he has led a fairly normal life, including heavily competing on his high school wrestling team.
Eric still faces a long road to recovery, and will need a lot of help with the extensive hospital bills and the move to a new apartment. To help ease his burden, the Bailey and Southside morning show has set up GoFundMe page with an initial goal of $10,000.
If any air talent in or around the Columbus, OH area can help out by publicizing this cause, please contact Nate Hanson at nate.hanson@cumulus.com.
