Condolences: Josh Harbuck

Harbuck JoshWe are extending our most sincere condolences to Hal Jay, longtime morning host on Cumulus News-Talk WBAP/Dallas, whose son Joshua Harbuck was killed Tuesday evening when he lost control of his truck and crashed on a wet road in Erath County, TX. As The Dallas News reports, Harbuck, 36, of Aledo, TX was headed north on State Highway 220, some 70 miles southwest of Fort Worth when his Ford F-250 pickup skidded off the highway and rolled, landing on its roof.

According to The Flash Today, Harbuck was pronounced dead at the scene, but his passenger, Dean Papaliodis, a 35-year-old physician was not injured. Papaliodis told the Texas Department of Public Safety that he and Harbuck, a pharmaceutical rep, were traveling from Austin to Fort Worth on business. Both men were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash.

Brian Estridge of the WBAP Morning News Team said of Harbuck, “He leaves behind a beautiful wife, in Emery, two lovely kids in Hudson and Harper, and he leaves behind a legacy of community service, an outward proclamation of his faith and tons of laughs, folks,” Estridge said. “For you see, Josh was the mini Hal — if you can be a ‘mini’ anything at 6-foot-5, 295 pounds.” A tribute to Josh Harbuck is posted on the WBAP website.
