Condolences: Amy Winslow
• We were saddened to learn that veteran artist manager Amy Winslow passed away Thursday, May 23 after a battle with breast cancer.
Winslow, who was 59, had spent the past 15 years at Manage This!, working with artists she loved, Guided By Voices, Yoko Ono, Sean Ono Lennon, Dirty Projectors, Laura Gibson, Surfer Blood, Kiwi Jr, and more.
Winslow started her career at the legendary WNEW/New York, where she was named Billboard Music Director of the Year in 1994. She later served as APD of WAXQ (Q104.3)/New York, and helped start the progressive national talk-radio network, Air America, as Director of Programming Operations, working with Marc Maron, Al Franken and others, and played a key role in launching The Rachel Maddow Show.
Winslow is survived by her niece Jaimee and husband Brian, nephew Craig and wife Talia, and two great nieces, Joie & Penelope, whom she adored, her brother-in-law Larry, and her cat, “Fatsy Klein.”

A celebration of Amy’s life is planned for Thursday, June 20 in Manhattan. Details will be announced later this week.
