Condolences: Fay Vasilas Lyons

• Our thoughts are with a longtime friend to many in our industry — promo veteran Barry Lyons, owner of Rent-A-Label, who is currently dealing with the unimaginable — the passing of his beloved wife of 23 years, Fay Vassals Lyons, who died last Thursday, Nov. 9 after a lengthy battle with cancer. “I am devastated, broken, laid waste,” Lyons posted on Facebook. Barry and Fay are the proud and loving parents of a daughter, Barbra.

A Trisigion service and viewing for Fay’s numerous West Coast friends will be held tomorrow, Nov. 15, at 7:30pm, at St. Sophia Cathedral, 1324 Normandie Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90006. Plans for a ceremony and funeral on the East Coast, in Fay’s beloved New York, will be announced shortly.
