Condolences: Jennifer Foxx & Paul Richards
• We were saddened to learn of the passing of Jennifer Foxx, former PD/midday personality on Vox Communications Hot AC WEZF (Star 92.9)/Burlington, VT, who died at 3:30am on Saturday, Dec. 10 after a tough battle with pancreatic cancer. Foxx, whose married last name was McClintock, was originally diagnosed on Sept. 1, 2015. She had been with Star 92.9 since 1999, and was promoted to PD in 2008
A post on the WEZF Facebook page reads, “The Star 92.9 family has suffered a great loss today with the passing of our own Jennifer Foxx, a.k.a. ‘JFo.’ Jenn was a talented on-air voice and touched many listeners with her stories about music, family, life, and even her battle with pancreatic cancer. She was passionate about radio and was instrumental in making Star 92.9 an important part of many people’s day. Rest in peace, Jennifer. You will be missed.”
McClintock leaves behind her husband Brian, and three daughters, Holly, Celia and Mary. The family is still dealing with extensive medical expenses and has launched a YouCaring page to help. Details on memorial services are forthcoming.
• Longtime Colorado Springs radio pro Paul Richards, who spent the past four years at News-Press & Gazette-owned KRDO, was found dead Sunday in his home. He was 55 years old. Police said Richards’ death was not being investigated as suspicious or the result of foul play. “All of us here at KRDO are saddened by Paul’s passing,” said KRDO General Manager Tim Larson, adding that Richards was an “integral part” of the station’s Morning News team. “He was always upbeat and a true professional. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife and children. He will be greatly missed.”
Richards, whose real name was Paul Mundt, spent 30 years in the Colorado Springs market, previously worked at music radio stations KSSS, KVUU, KKLI and KCSJ. Richards leaves behind a wife and five children.
