Entercom Spins 107.3/Boston To EMF
• Entercom Communications Corp. just announced a definitive agreement to sell 107.3 FM, currently the home of Mainstream Rock WAAF/Boston to Contemporary Christian broadcaster Educational Media Foundation (EMF) for $10.75 million in cash. The frequency is licensed to suburban Westborough, MA.
Fear not — WAAF’s programming will continue to air on its existing HD channels, 104.1 (WWBX-HD2)/Boston and 93.7 (WEEI-FM-HD2)/Lawrence, MA, as well as on RADIO.COM.
EMF will begin airing its programming on 107.3 FM under a Network Affiliation Agreement beginning this Saturday, February 22, 2020. The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of 2020.
