Finateri Now Running Cumulus Detroit
• Cumulus Media Detroit keeps it in the family and promotes Steve Finateri to VP/Market Manager for the four-station group — News-Talk WJR-AM, Hot AC WDVD, Country WDRQ (NASH 93.3) and Classic Country WDRQ-H2 (93.1 NASH Icon). Finateri is a 30-year Motor City broadcast pro who is elevated into the big chair from his most recent position as Director of Sales for WJR, a position he has held since 2011.
Finateri joined Cumulus Media in 2006 as National Sales Manager for WJR, and was upped to Local Sales Manager in 2008. He began his career in talk radio as a Retail Account Manager in 1986 for Fritz Broadcasting’s WXYT, moved to Clear Channel’s WNICas Sr. Account Manager in 1995 and Local Sales Manager for CBS Radio’s WVMVin 2002.
