Hanlon Running Entercom Charlotte
Entercom has appointed Matt Hanlon as VP/Market Manager for the company’s newly acquired Charlotte group — News-Talk WBT-AM/FM, Hot AC WLNK (107.9 The Link) and WFNZ-AM (The Fan 610AM/102.5FM).
Hanlon (left) previously served as President of Citadel Broadcasting, managing the Midwest region of 85 radio stations across 14 markets. He began his career in broadcasting as a media buyer for Backer & Spielvogel, VP of Stations at Katz Media Group and VP/Director of Sales at AMFM. “We are super excited to welcome Matt to Entercom and to the Charlotte team,” said Weezie Kramer, Chief Operating Officer of Entercom. “Matt has terrific experience in news, talk, sports, syndication, working with big personalities and making a difference in the community, all of which make him a great fit for Charlotte and these iconic brands.”
Hanlon succeeds Rick Feinblatt, who had been managing former Greater Media properties WBT and WLNK in a commuter arrangement from Philadelphia until August, when the stations became part of the “Charlotte Divestiture Trust,” temporarily managed by retired Entercom EVP/General Counsel Jack Donlevie
