Hubbard Seattle Names Chief Engineer
• Hubbard Radio Seattle announces Alex Brewster as the cluster’s new Chief of Engineering, starting April 15. Already familiar with the Pacific Northwest, Brewster previously served as Assistant Chief Engineer for Entercom Seattle and Portland, where he provided technical support for each cluster’s five Class C FMs, their associated HD channels and two directional AM stations respectively. His prior experience includes technical support for CBS Radio Seattle and he also worked in the tower construction business.
Scott Mahalick, interim Market Manager for Hubbard Radio Seattle, remarked, “It’s wonderful to have a world-class engineering leader join Hubbard Seattle and help make our engineering department shine.” Brewster commented, “I’m excited for the opportunities this positions brings. I’m looking forward to using my knowledge and skills to enhance and expand the technological capabilities of Hubbard Seattle.”
Bonus Brewster Fun Facts: Brewster is also a member of the Society of Broadcast Engineers and is an SBE-Certified Broadcast Radio Engineer, Certified Broadcast Network Technologist and was selected as the Seattle Chapter 16 Engineer of the Year in 2019.
