• Cumulus Media has tapped Morgan Bohannon as VP/Market Manager for the company’s four-station Memphis group. That arrangement works perfectly for Memphis native Bohannon (left), who was most recently Area President for iHeartMedia Memphis. Bohannon has over 20 years of management experience with iHeartMedia/Clear Channel, including stints as Memphis Market Manager, Director of Sales for iHeartMedia Greenville, SC and RVP for Clear Channel Charlotte. He was previously Director of Sales for Apex Broadcasting. Dave Milner, SVP of Cumulus Media, said, “We’re extremely excited to welcome Morgan to Cumulus. He is a proven leader, with a track record of building talented and empowered teams. To have him lead our group of terrific stations in his home town of Memphis makes it the perfect fit.”

• iHeartMedia has upped Richmond Market President Derrick Martin to Region President for the St. Louis Region, which encompasses 33 radio stations in Des Moines, Cedar Rapids/Iowa City and Davenport, IA and St. Louis and Springfield, MO. Martin is a 21-year media pro who previously spent five years as GSM for iHeartMedia St. Louis, so he’s already very familiar with the territory. Martin began his career as an AE for iHeartMedia Memphis and has also worked in various sales positions in the company’s Chicago and Detroit markets. His background also includes a stint as Interactive Sales General Manager for Radio One.
Martin reports to Tom McConnell, President of the Midwest/Southeast Division for iHeartMedia, who said, “I’m very excited to have Derrick return to the St. Louis Region in this important role leading our brands. He has a proven track record of success and understands how to build and maintain a strong culture that rewards innovation and team work.” Martin remarked, “Having spent over five years in St. Louis, I know what an amazing team we have in place in the Region. I’m thrilled for this opportunity to lead the St. Louis Region team and I look forward to continuing to deliver the some of the best of the best iHeartMedia brands to this incredible community and our advertisers.”
• Jacqué Freeman is the new Local Sales Manager for Cox Media Group’s Jacksonville cluster — WAPE, WOKV (News 104.5), Hot 99.5, WHJX (Easy 106.5), WJGL (The Eagle 96.9), Power 106.1 (WJGL HD2) and WXXJ (X102.9). Ms. Freeman (left) was most recently Sales Manager for Beasley Broadcast Group in Charlotte, and she previously worked for Glory Communications and Citadel/Cumulus in Columbia, SC.
