MIW & NABLF Name Engineering Mentee

Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio, Inc. (MIW) and the National Association of Broadcasters Leadership Foundation (NABLF), are delighted to announce Lucretia Lee-Arceneaux as the inaugural mentee of the 2023 MIW NABLF Launch program, which is dedicated to supporting and guiding women in radio who are relatively new to the industry. The first of its kind, this program will target the development and curation of talent, this year focused on the Engineering side of radio.

Like many of us, Lee-Arceneaux’s passion for broadcasting was ignited at the age of seven while watching WKRP In Cincinnati. She pursued this drive with her education at SAE Atlanta as an Audio Engineer, and then on to Colorado Media School and the Colorado Broadcasters Association CBA Engineering Academy, leading her to her current role as a Broadcast IT Engineer for iHeartMedia. Lucretia aspires to become a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) with a vision of overseeing radio and TV buildout projects, as well as driving OTT TV developments.

MIW Board President Ruth Presslaff commented, “MIW and NAB Leadership Foundation have been cooking on this idea for a while. We are so glad it’s now a reality and equally so to have Lucretia as our first mentee.”

Lee-Arceneaux remarked, “Mentoring is the bridge that connects the wisdom of experienced professionals with the aspirations of those who follow, paving the way for a brighter future. It’s an honor to have been selected as the first mentee in the Launch Engineering Mentorship Program. Not only is it a unique learning opportunity, it’s also a chance to support and build relationships with other women leaders in the broadcast industry, and that’s exciting.”

NABLF President Michelle Duke said, “We are thrilled to partner with Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio, Inc., to unveil the Launch program, a milestone initiative aimed at fostering the next generation of female leadership in radio broadcasting. I’m so proud of Lucretia Lee-Arceneaux and her achievements. As a graduate of the foundation’s Technology Apprenticeship Program, she exemplifies the ingenuity, determination and technical prowess that not only enriches our industry but sets a high standard for those who follow. We are excited to work alongside MIW to support Lucretia as she scales new heights in her career and continues to contribute to the evolution of the radio broadcasting landscape.”
