Pizzati & Dickey Ride Again

• After a two-year corporate hiatus, former Cumulus Media SVP, Major Markets Gary Pizzati is back in action — and he’s once again working with his onetime boss, former Cumulus CEO Lew Dickey — according to his LinkedIn profile, Pizzati has joined Dickey-owned Modern Luxury Media as President & Chief Revenue Officer. Modern Luxury is described as “the country’s largest local luxury media company with 84 titles in the top 24 markets in the United States.” As his LinkedIn profile states, “As President / Chief Revenue Officer, Gary will oversee their 100 million dollar local, national, event and digital revenue portfolio.”

And let’s not forget that Dickey’s other business, Modern Media Acquisition, is sitting on $210.71 million war chest and has until Nov. 17 to spend that money on media-related assets — or give it back. The next two months should be interesting… we need to keep our eye on these guys.
