Violeta Podrumedic: Free Agent

• Earlier this week we reported the departure of Lisa Kosty from middays at Hubbard’s WTBC (Throwback 100.3)/Chicago. Turns out Kosty’s exit may have been at the leading edge of other rumored companywide cuts. Now comes word that another longtime cluster veteran, Violeta Podrumedic, has exited as co-host and Traffic Reporter on The Morning Mix across the hall on Hot AC WTMX (101.9 The Mix).

Podrumedic joined WTMX a morning show producer and traffic reporter for former host Eric Ferguson in January 2019, crossing the street from Tribune’s WGN-AM, where she started as an intern in 2016.

 Podrumedic broke the news of her departure in a video, recorded in her car while listening to her now former morning colleagues on The Mix. “I appreciate all my time at The Mix and everyone there,” she said. “Thank you thank you so much. I don’t have a better radio tease at the moment, but stay tuned. Thank you guys so much for all of your love and support. I’ll miss you greatly.”

Morning Mix host Chris Petlak, co-host Nikki Chuminatto, and news personality Brian “Whip” Paruch remain intact.
